Sid Gustafson Brown Bag Lecture Description:
Join us for a Brown Bag Lunch at the Butte Archives with the Mining City Writing Project's latest guest, Sid Gustafson! Gustafson will be sharing insights on his written works, which span from veterinary field guides to poetry and novels. He will discuss the relationship between humans and animals in the past, present, and future. In addition, he will be speaking on the power of writing to improve life on earth, as well as some current topics of interest, including Whitefish and snow geese.

About the Author

In addition to being a novelist and nonfiction writer, Bozeman's Sid Gustafson is also a world-renowned equine veterinarian and advocate for equine health and best practices in horse racing. His third novel, Swift Dam (Open Books, 2016) evokes the country of his childhood -- Conrad, Montana, and the Blackfeet native lands.

The Mining City Writng Project is organized by The Root & The Bloom Collective, The Historic Clark Chateau, The Butte Archives, and The Montana Standard, and is funded in part by grants from Humanities Montana and Lee Enterprises.
