Brown Bag Lunch with KBMF about the Africa Exchange Description:
This winter, four KBMF 102.5 team members spent six weeks in South Africa visiting Butte's Zulu friends and their families. The sights and sounds were wondrous. Radio stations were visited. Wild animals were sighted. The waves of the Indian Ocean invited. There are photos. There are recordings. Join us for wrap-up of their trip at the next Brown Bag Lunch at the Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives on Wednesday, February 28, with a presentation by the KBMF travelers.

KBMF 102.5FM is a low power FM, community radio station broadcasting from the Carpenter's Union Hall in Butte, Montana. With over 70 volunteer DJs and 24-hour programming, including Democracy Now! and other progressive news programs, KBMF is a beacon of the community of Butte-Silver Bow. The station is operated by the Butte America Foundation. Foundation board members Matt Boyle and Suzanne Stefanac will be joined by Station Manager Clark Grant and music director Dark Sevier as they share slides and commentary about this cultural and professional exchange.

The presentation will begin at noon and run about an hour at the Archives, 17 W. Quartz. Guests are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water will be provided.

Brown Bag Lunches are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Upcoming lectures will focus topics of local interest. For more information, contact the Archives at 782-3280.
