The musical DUCK UGLY is a timely tale by local playwright Allyson Adams, based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic The Ugly Duckling. Contemporary, fun and old favorite songs illustrate the emotional thread of Ugly's journey as an outcast because he is different. Duck Ugly is full of heart and humor for all ages. Playwright Allyson Adams is known for her one woman show, Moment of Peace, about Congresswoman Jeannette Rankin which toured Montana for a decade. Miss Adams published The Rebel & The King written by her actor father, Nick Adams, about his friendship with Elvis Presley, and most recently completed a new play "Save the Country: How Belle Fligelman and Jeannette Rankin changed the world."

'Duck Ugly' directed by Elizabeth Crase runs on the Mother Lode Theatre stage March 30, 31 and April 1st and 2nd.
