"Spring into Summer" Description:
The Southwestern Wildlands Chapter of the Montana Wilderness Association will host its annual “Spring into Summer” event, featuring a presentation by outdoor author Doug Lorain. “Spring into Summer” will take place on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 5518 Designs (27 N. Main Street) in historic Uptown Butte. It will start at 6:00 p.m.

“Spring into Summer” is an opportunity to learn about the Montana Wilderness Association’s “2018 Discover Wild” programs, which include Wilderness Walks, volunteer trail projects, and citizen science opportunities. The event is sponsored by the Southwestern Wildlands Chapter, a regional affiliate of the Montana Wilderness Association. More information about the chapter can be found here or in its inaugural newsletter.

The event will also feature author Doug Lorain talking about his newest book, 100 Classic Hikes: Montana. The book features all-color contour maps, stunning photography, and a fresh take on what Lorain believes to be the best hikes all around the state.

Admission is free, and there will be prizes raffled off.
