Get a beginning working knowledge of the nuno technique: a method of felting wool fibers into a fabric base. The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. The technique bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a lightweight felt. In this class, participants will create a nuno felted wall hanger (prefelt size 24" x 16") using open weave fabric, wool rovings and embellished yarns. All materials provided.
