The Dress a Child event is in conjunction with the Salvation Army's "Tools for School" program. Both program's goal is to ensure that many of our area students begin their school year with the necessary school supplies in hand and new clothing to start the year on par with their peers. Parents sign up their children at The Salvation Army.
United Way of Butte and Anaconda is recruiting volunteers to be "Shopping Buddies" to assist one-on-one with each student. Each "Shopping Buddy" will ensure that each student spends the allotted $100 on basics such as undergarments, socks, and shoes and then on school appropriate clothing of the students' choice.
