Sunday Matinee at the Clark Chateau

Description:
Join us at the Clark Chateau the first Sunday of the month for the Sunday Matinee at 2pm. Each Sunday we will screen a film from the public domain to be followed by a brief discussion. Light refreshments and popcorn are provided. Donations to support programs at the Clark Chateau are accepted.
This series will begin with the following 4 films:
Sunday Feb 5th: His Girl Friday
A 1940 Comedy directed by Howard Hawks, starring Cary Grant and Rosalind Russel. A newspaper editor tries to win over his ex-wife, investigative reporter Hildy Johnson, with on last big scoop.
Sunday March 5th: Stray Dog
A 1949 Japanese crime noir directed by Akira Kurosawa starring Toshiro Mifune and Takashi Shimura. An inexperienced detective follows the trail of a missing gun through the depths of post war Tokyo's criminal underworld.
Sunday April 2nd: Rock! Rock! Rock!
A teenage girl attempts to convince her parents to buy her a strapless gown for prom; when her father refuses she attempts to get the money together herself. Starring Chuck Berry, LaVern Baker, Teddy Randazzo and The Moonglows.
Sunday May 7th: Carnival of Souls
A young woman's life is disturbed after a car accident. She relocates to a new city where she finds herself unable to move on and is drawn to an abandoned carnival pavilion. A ghoulish stranger begins to stalk her throughout.
