Brown Bag Lunch: East of the East Side book signing
12:00 PM
Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives
Brown Bag Lunch: East of the East Side book signing Description:
A bandleader, a war refugee, and a car dealer walk into a Butte saloon. They needed only one barstool. They were all the same man, Tony Leskovar. East of the East Side tells his remarkable true story and more. The book is historical nonfiction, an engaging read made richer in a well-researched historical and cultural backdrop. His granddaughter Christy Leskovar is the author, a former mechanical engineer who left her engineering career after a trip to Butte that would forever alter the course of her life. She brings the thoroughness and tenacity of an engineer to her historical research. Her story telling is honed by a lifelong love of reading great literature. She is also the author of One Night in a Bad Inn and Finding the Bad Inn: Discovering My Family’s Hidden Past.

Join the Butte Archives at noon on Wednesday, July 13 to hear Christy Leskovar speak about the third installment of her family’s remarkable history. All three of her books will be available for sale. The Brown Bag Lunch will begin at noon and run about an hour at the Archives, 17 W. Quartz Street. The Archives recommends masks for the safety of our patrons. Coffee and water will be served and guests may bring a sack lunch.
