True Crime in Butte Description:
BUTTE ARCHIVES’ BROWN BAG LUNCH: “True Crime in Butte”

Join the Butte Archives on Wednesday, December 14, to hear Clark Grant explore true crime stories as revealed in the city’s rival newspapers. Grant will explain how newspapers are used to research people, places and events in Butte’s history.

Clark Grant is a graduate of the University of Montana (B.A. French, 2014). After 6 years at Montana Public Radio and KBGA, the college radio station licensed to the University of Montana, Clark moved to Butte for the purpose of building and managing KBMF. At KBGA, Clark was Program Director in 2011 and General Manager in 2012. Clark is an advocate for media access and worked closely with the Butte America Foundation board of directors on social justice issues in Butte, including community radio, historic preservation, and civic engagement. He co-authored the NEH grant for Verdigris and administered the project in conjunction with the Butte America Foundation board of directors. He is also host and producer of Verdigris: Life Underground. Clark Grant joined the staff of the Butte Archives last summer as Assistant Director.

The Brown Bag Lunch will begin at noon and run about an hour at the Archives, 17 W. Quartz Street. Coffee and water will be served and guests may bring a sack lunch. For more information, please call the Archives at 406-782-3280.
